Welcome to the final part of the Lotus Elise buyers guide. This part will give you some guidance to determine the state of a Lotus Elise. Ofcourse, this guide will never be complete; there will always be problems that just have not been mentioned here.

We've tried to compile the technical part as a checklist for a potential Elise buyer or as a once a year checklist for existing Elise owners...
You could print the body of these pages and take then with you when you are examining the car. It's a bottom up approach i.e. start at the lowest point of the car working our way up.

If you have any additions to this checklist, don't hesitate to let us know! We want to help YOU making the right decision....

We do expect you to be able to lift the car and remove the wheels to do a full check!

As the technical part of the buying guide is growing bigger every time, we have split it into three different sections:

- Exterior (chassis, Brakes, Tyres etc.)
- Interior (everything that's in the Elise)
- Engine, gearbox and electronics (no explanation needed..)

Even with this split, loading these pages can take quite some time, however, we do feel that you think it's worth waiting!
